The Tudor “Snowflake” Submariner is definitely one of, it not the brands most important and recognized watches. This watch made the brand take off on its own and able to no longer follow in the shadows of its sister brand, Rolex.
Stainless steel Oyster case measures 40mm in diameter and is approx 13.8mm thick. The watch features a screw down caseback with the engraving, “ORIGIONAL OYSTER CASE BY ROLEX GENEVA”. Beautiful faded black bezel that turns bidirectionaly with intact pearl. The crown is signed Rolex and the crystal is acrylic. Serial number 739XXX dates production of this watch to 1979.
The dial is blue with an even amount of patina across the hour markers. Hands are original and date window is featured at the 3 o’clock.
Movement for this watch is the automatic Tudor 25 jewel movement.
This watch is paired nicely on a stainless steel Rolex Jubilee bracelet. A fantastic vintage timepiece with just the right amount of wear to tell a story.
