From Universal Geneve, which is greatly admired for its vintage chronographs, comes this outstanding TriCompax. This watch is in spectacular condition with original dial and in house movement. The Universal Geneve TriCompax chronograph with triple date and moon phase rates as one of the best of breed vintage watches.
The 14k yellow gold case is in mint condition and measures 36mm in diameter and is approx 12.7 mm thick. The case features round chronograph pushers and a very thin bezel, which adds more visual presence to this watch.
The dial is simply magnificent. Perfectly balanced layout of all functions; moon phase at 12 0’clock, day-date at 2 o’clock and 10 o’clock, chronograph sub registers at 3-6-9 o’clock, a tall order for a dial with such many features, yet the dial on this Universal is surprisingly uncrowded and perfectly balanced. Beautiful gold dauphine hands and a blued steel seconds hand. This watch is stellar!
Movement for this watch is the manual wind caliber 281. The is a column wheel chronograph movement.
This Universal Geneve should be a serious candidate for your collection and truly one of the best I’ve ever seen.
