Description
This watch was almost certainly a custom order from the Van Cleef & Arpels Boutique in Paris. As far as we can determine, it is a piece unique.
Art deco inspired 18k case is very interesting and unique. The watch itself is an elongated oval shape with softly squared ends and is 56.5mm long by 16mm wide by 8.2mm thick. Strap is attached to the gold brackets that are hinged onto the case and move freely, ensuring a comfortable fit. Oval shaped crystal. Case back is snap on and engraved UTI Paris and with serial number 7430X.
Dial is brush-finished gold, with baton hands and baton markers whose length is proportionate to their position on the dial.
Movement is a hand winding caliber which is running. Original strap with original 18k buckle. This is a one-of-a-kind wristwatch, probably dating to the 1950s.
